If you have been searching for a holiday cottage or holiday home in Scotland where you can enjoy a really relaxing short break then you have come to the right place. Rhumhor Holiday Lodge is in such a beautiful and tranquil location it takes just a few minutes to unwind and forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is the ideal place to get together with family and friends to celebrate a special occasion with its spacious public rooms and comfortable accommodation. Although just over an hour from Glasgow when you arrive in Carrick Castle you could be the other side of the world.

We offer short breaks from September to June as well as last minute breaks and from time to time special seasonal breaks.

Weekend short breaks run from Friday afternoon to Sunday or Monday (two or three nights) ensuring you are truly able to take a long weekend. Weekday short breaks are for four nights, you arrive Monday afternoon and depart Friday morning.

Short Breaks – Printmaking, Drawing, Sculpture & Photography

The stunning loch and mountain views, the variety of wildlife and the unique architecture of Rhumhor Holiday Lodge are truly inspirational for artists. In the 1940′s the Royal Scottish Academy Artist James Miller presented the owners of Rhumhor with a lovely watercolour of the house and this is now hung in the drawing room.

Today we provide the opportunity for groups to come and stay for a short break with a resident artist, printmaker, sculptor or photographer. As a small group you have the chance to learn new skills, nurture existing talent and pick up tips from both your tutor and each other. These weekends make the ideal basis for a unique reunion, party or celebration.
