My family age ranges from 2 to 82, is Rhumhor suitable?
Yes Rhumhor is eminently suitable for young, old and those in-between. On the ground floor we have a bedroom and shower room which is ideal for those who don’t fancy the stairs. A family favourite is of course the large family room where everyone can sit and socialise, enjoy the pool table, watch a film or have a BBQ on the decking. For times when certain members would prefer a little quiet time there is our peaceful drawing room with its stunning loch views or the bright half landing with its comfortable reading area. There is great family entertainment at the local leisure park, with entertainment for all ranges, just ask us for more details.

What is the earliest time we can arrive?
The earliest check-in is 4pm.

What time is departure on the last day?
Departure is before 10am.

Can we bring our dog?
Yes, please contact us to discuss. Your dog will be very welcome and it is an amazing area for walks. We will ask that you agree to keep your dog to the ground floor, out of all bedrooms, off furniture, and never leave him or her in the house on their own. A £30 pet supplement will be due with the balance.

Where can I buy groceries?
Asda supermarket delivers to Rhumhor. You will need to register on their website and book a delivery slot. They also offer a click and collect service as their Dumbarton store if you wish to pick up anything on your way (there is also a Morrisons and Marks and Spencer Food at this location.)
There is a small Costcutter grocery store 4 miles down the road near Lochgoilhead and also Lochgoilhead post office has a good local store inside. There is a large Waitrose at Helensburgh.  There are two smaller supermarkets, a deli and brewery in Inveraray.

How do we collect and return the keys?
The owners will contact you with useful pre-arrival information and confirmation of the arrival and departure process in the run up to your stay at Rhumhor. You will be provided with their contact details should you need any help during your stay.

Is there a local taxi service?
Yes there is a fully licensed taxi that operates out of Lochgoilhead.

Can we book a short break?
Yes – from November to the end of March we offer  three night weekend breaks and four night mid-week breaks (excluding peak weeks during this period.) We may also offer late availability short breaks.  Please contact us with your requirements.
